Compliance and Regulatory Attorney (Healthcare and Occupational Health)

Remote | Fractional | Independent Contractor

We are seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Attorney to support a growing, physician-led
occupational medicine and compliance practice scaling nationally.
This role is focused on regulatory interpretation, risk management, defensibility, and internal
advisory support. The attorney will work closely with executive and program leadership to
ensure that drug-free workplace policies, employer education materials, compliance
frameworks, and service offerings align with applicable federal and state requirements while
remaining practical, defensible, and scalable.
This is a remote, fractional, independent contractor role designed for an attorney who values
thoughtful analysis, regulatory rigor, and meaningful contribution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and advise on healthcare, occupational safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Support risk management and defensibility across organizational compliance programs
  • Review, draft, and maintain internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
  • Advise on OSHA, MRO, HHS/SAMHSA, DOT and NON-DOT, FRA, FAA, FMCSA, USCG,
    DoD, PHMSA, MOW and MECH, and public health compliance
  • Support alignment with CDC guidance and evolving regulatory standards
  • Provide internal legal and regulatory advisory support to executive and program leadership
  • Collaborate with executive and program leadership to design, review, and maintain legally
    compliant programs and policies
  • Assist with regulatory responses, audits, and inquiries as needed
  • Support corporate governance and compliance infrastructure


Qualifications

  • Licensed Attorney from an accredited law school
  • Active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Experience in healthcare regulatory, occupational safety, administrative, or compliance law is a
    strong asset
  • Familiarity with OSHA, MRO, HHS/SAMHSA, DOT and NON-DOT, FRA, FAA, FMCSA,
    USCG, DoD, PHMSA, MOW and MECH, and healthcare compliance frameworks is a strong
    asset
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills
  • Comfort working in a policy-driven, consultative, and academically oriented environment

 

Work Structure

Director of Employer Partnerships, Sales & Programs (Remote)

We are a physician-led, fully virtual occupational medicine and drug-free workplace consulting
practice working with employers through medical expertise, policy leadership, and education.
This role owns non-clinical growth by executing consultative B2B sales, managing employer
relationships, and supporting authority-based marketing and education—while respecting strict
clinical and ethical boundaries.


What You’ll Do

  • Conduct introductory employer calls and discovery
  • Qualify prospects and manage follow-up through close (with physician involvement)
  • Own long-term employer relationships (onboarding, retention, expansion)
  • Curate employer-facing sales materials (decks, one-pagers, policy summaries)
  • Prepare the physician for employer meetings (talking points, follow-ups)
  • Support thought leadership, webinars, and employer education initiatives
  • Support sales and distribution of existing training programs


What You Will NOT Do

  • Provide clinical care or medical advice
  • Run clinic operations, scheduling, or staffing
  • Set pricing or packages
  • Supervise clinical staff
  • Own IP, brand, or educational content

 

Who You Are

  • Experienced in consultative B2B or professional services sales
  • Comfortable selling expertise and trust, not products
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Experience in regulated, compliance, HR, or training environments preferred
  • Ethical, relationship-oriented, and comfortable with long sales cycles

Compensation

Medical Director (Occupational Medicine & Regulatory Programs)

Remote | Part-Time | Independent Contractor

We are seeking a part-time Medical Director to provide academic, regulatory, and programmatic
leadership for a growing, physician-led occupational medicine and compliance practice scaling
nationally.
This role is focused on clinical governance, regulatory alignment, and program development
rather than direct patient care. The Medical Director will work closely with executive leadership
and legal counsel to support high-quality, compliant, and defensible occupational health
programs across multiple industries.
This is a deliverable-based independent contractor role with the potential to transition into a
full-time leadership position as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide clinical and regulatory oversight for occupational medicine, MRO, DOT and NON-DOT,
        FRA, FAA, FMCSA, USCG and PHMSA, MOW and MECH programs

      • Review, develop, and approve clinical policies, protocols, and educational content

      • Ensure alignment of programs with federal and state regulatory standards

      • Support quality assurance and peer review processes

      • Assist with onboarding organizational clients by addressing clinical and regulatory questions

      • Collaborate with legal counsel and executive leadership on compliance and risk management

      • Contribute to strategic planning and program expansion

      • Maintain and advance clinical standards across all offerings

    Experience with educational or training program development is a strong asset.

    Qualifications

        • MD or DO with Board-Certification in Occupational Medicine or a closely related specialty

        • Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state

        • Strong background in occupational medicine, MRO, DOT and NON-DOT, FRA, FAA, FMCSA,
          USG and PHMSA, MOW and MECH programs

        • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and clinical governance

        • Strong written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

        • Comfort working in a policy-driven, academic, and consultative environment
