Mobile Diagnostics
When clinically appropriate, we can help coordinate select diagnostic testing at your home, hotel, workplace, or another eligible location through OPPMed Mobile Diagnostics.
Availability varies by geographic location, scheduling capacity, and the type of diagnostic service requested.
Not every diagnostic test requires a trip to a hospital or imaging center.
OPPMed Mobile Diagnostics gives eligible patients another option. When the requested study can be appropriately performed through a mobile provider, we can coordinate diagnostic services at a convenient eligible location.
X-RAY
Mobile digital radiography for clinically appropriate studies.
ULTRASOUND
Select diagnostic ultrasound examinations based on clinical need and local availability.
SPIROMETRY
Pulmonary function testing to assess lung function when clinically appropriate.
EKG
Mobile electrocardiogram testing when clinically appropriate.
All diagnostic testing requires an appropriate clinical order. Availability of individual services varies by location.

OPPMed works to make diagnostic testing more accessible by offering eligible services at preferred rates through participating diagnostic providers.
Pricing varies based on the type of examination, geographic location, provider availability, and other service requirements.
If Mobile Service Is Not Available
We Can Help You Find Another Option.
Mobile diagnostics will not be available in every location or for every examination.
If the requested diagnostic service cannot be performed through a mobile provider, your OPPMed physician may, when clinically appropriate, provide an order or referral for testing at an imaging center, hospital, diagnostic facility, or other qualified provider.
Patients are responsible for screening test and imaging charges.

Services are subject to geographic coverage, scheduling capacity, clinical appropriateness, equipment requirements, and other factors.
OPPMed does not guarantee availability or appointment times.
Turnaround Times
Diagnostic completion and result turnaround times are not determined by OPPMed and may vary by examination, location, and circumstances.

Payment Before Dispatch
Payment for the mobile diagnostic service must be completed before the service will be dispatched or otherwise confirmed for fulfillment.
Cancellations & Refunds
Once a diagnostic service has been scheduled or dispatched, payments are non-refundable for patient-requested cancellations, missed appointments, inability to access the agreed service location, or other circumstances attributable to the patient, except where otherwise required by law.
*Diagnostic services canceled by the patient within 24 hours of the appointment are subject to a $100 cancelation fee.
Provider Unavailable
If OPPMed Mobile Diagnostics is unable to perform the requested service, OPPMed may attempt to coordinate an alternative arrangement or refer you to a local facility when clinically appropriate.
Clinical Discretion
All diagnostic services require an appropriate clinical order.
OPPMed physicians reserve the right to determine medical necessity and the most appropriate setting for testing.
Mobile Diagnostics Are Not Emergency Services
OPPMed Mobile Diagnostics should not be used when immediate diagnostic evaluation or emergency medical care is required. Patients experiencing life-threatening symptoms should call 911 or seek immediate evaluation at an emergency department.
