Can I book an appointment immediately after joining?
Yes. Once your membership enrollment is complete, you can begin scheduling eligible appointments right away. Appointment availability may vary, but there is no waiting period to begin using your membership.
Do I need health insurance?
No. OPPMed is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance for membership services. Your membership provides access to eligible OPPMed services according to your plan. We still recommend maintaining health insurance or other appropriate coverage for services outside your membership, including emergency care, hospitalization, surgery, specialty care, and other healthcare expenses.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly memberships may be canceled at any time and remain subject to the terms of your membership agreement. The one-time enrollment fee is non-refundable.
What is your refund policy?
Monthly membership payments are non-refundable once billed. For annual memberships, unused months may be eligible for a refund after the months already used are recalculated at the regular monthly membership rate. The one-time enrollment fee and services or third-party expenses already incurred are non-refundable.
Can I use any pharmacy?
Yes. Prescriptions may generally be sent to the pharmacy of your choice. OPPMed may also provide access to preferred pharmacy partners that can offer reduced pricing or home delivery for select medications when available and clinically appropriate. Medication costs are separate from your membership.
Can I use my HSA/FSA?
Because federal rules governing HSA and FSA eligibility can depend on your individual plan and current tax requirements, we recommend confirming eligibility with your HSA/FSA administrator or tax advisor before using those funds for membership fees or other OPPMed services. We can provide appropriate receipts or documentation for eligible healthcare expenses.
Are laboratory tests included?
Laboratory testing is not included in the membership fee unless specifically stated otherwise. When testing is needed, OPPMed can order appropriate laboratory studies and provides access to preferred cash-pay pricing through participating laboratory partners. You will be informed of applicable costs before testing whenever possible.
Are imaging studies included?
Imaging is not included in the membership fee unless specifically stated otherwise. When medically appropriate, OPPMed can order or coordinate imaging and may provide access to preferred pricing through participating diagnostic partners, including mobile diagnostic services where available.
What if I cannot afford my visit or diagnostics?
We believe cost should not automatically prevent you from accessing the care you need. OPPMed accepts CareCredit, which may allow eligible patients to finance qualifying healthcare expenses, including visits, laboratory testing, and diagnostic services, and pay over time. Approval and financing terms are determined by CareCredit.
